Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or using VettedCare (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the Service. If you are using VettedCare on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that organization to these terms.

2. Description of the service

VettedCare is an online directory that helps people in Canada find and connect with therapists and other mental health practitioners. We provide listings, search tools, and contact information so that clients can reach practitioners directly.

VettedCare does not provide health care, counselling, diagnosis, treatment, or any clinical service of any kind. We are not a health care provider and we are not a party to the relationship between a client and a practitioner. Any care, advice, fees, scheduling, and outcomes are matters strictly between you and the practitioner you choose to contact.

3. Practitioner listings and subscription

Practitioners may list their practice on VettedCare for a listing fee of $35 CAD per month. The subscription gives a practitioner a profile in the directory and renews monthly until cancelled. Fees are charged in advance and, unless required by law, are non-refundable for the current billing period.

Practitioners are solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and lawfulness of the information in their listing, and for keeping their credentials, contact details, and availability up to date. A paid listing is not an endorsement, recommendation, or guarantee of any practitioner by VettedCare. We may decline, suspend, or remove a listing at our discretion, including where information appears inaccurate, misleading, or non-compliant with professional or legal requirements.

Where we display registration or credential information, it is generally mirrored from publicly available professional registers maintained by provincial regulators and colleges. This information may be incomplete, delayed, or out of date, and registers can change at any time. We do not independently audit every listing and we do not guarantee the accuracy, currency, or completeness of any credential, registration status, or other detail shown on the Service.

Before beginning care, you should confirm a practitioner’s qualifications and standing directly with the relevant regulatory college or association in their province or territory.

6. User conduct

When using the Service, you agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these terms or applicable Canadian law.
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information, including inaccurate credentials in a listing.
• Collect, scrape, or harvest data from the directory for marketing, resale, or other unauthorized use.
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its underlying systems.
• Impersonate any person or organization, or misrepresent your affiliation with one.
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users, practitioners, or our staff.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, VettedCare and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, your reliance on any listing or information, or your interactions with any practitioner. The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

Because we are not a party to the client–practitioner relationship, we are not responsible for the conduct, advice, services, or fees of any practitioner listed on the Service. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes may also be communicated through the Service. Your continued use of VettedCare after changes take effect means you accept the revised terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict of law principles. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Ontario, Canada for any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the Service.
