About VettedCare
Finding the right mental-health support is hard enough without wondering whether the person you found is actually qualified to help. VettedCare is a modern, Canada-first directory of verified, regulated practitioners — built from the ground up to be a calmer, more trustworthy alternative to the cluttered legacy directories most people rely on today.
Our mission is simple: make it easy for anyone in Canada to find a qualified therapist they can trust, and make it easy to confirm that trust for yourself.
Why verified credentials matter
In most of Canada, titles like “psychologist,” “social worker,” and “psychotherapist” are protected — they can only be used by people registered with a provincial regulatory college. Those colleges maintain public registers showing who is in good standing, what they are licensed to do, and whether any restrictions apply.
VettedCare mirrors those provincial regulator registers. When a practitioner appears on our directory as verified, it means we have matched their listing against the official college register for their province. You are not taking anyone’s word for it — including ours. We point you to the source so you can confirm a registration yourself in a few seconds.
Every verified profile is tied to a real registration with a provincial college. Credentials are checked against the regulator, not self-reported — so the badge actually means something.
How the directory works
VettedCare is designed around how people actually search for care. Start with what matters to you and narrow from there:
- Search by specialty (anxiety, trauma, couples, ADHD), by location or virtual availability, and by the insurance or coverage you have.
- Compare practitioners side by side — credentials, approach, fees, and the populations they work with — so the choice feels clear instead of overwhelming.
- Connect and book directly with the practitioner you choose, whether that’s a first consultation or an ongoing spot.
No pay-to-rank placements dressed up as recommendations, and no profiles for people who aren’t actually licensed to practise.
Where we’re headed
We started with mental health because it is where trust matters most and where good options are hardest to find. But the same idea — a clean, verified directory backed by official regulator data — applies far more broadly. Over time, VettedCare aims to expand to cover all regulated Canadian health practitioners, so that “verified” means the same dependable thing no matter what kind of care you’re looking for.
